COMMUNICATION TRAINING Communication Center personnel receive the latest in initial training and continuing education topics such as, Basic Telecommunicator,Fire Dispatch, Emergency Medical Dispatch and ongoing training to prepare each operator to handle any emergency call.
A.P.C.O. each Telecommunicator must posses the Basic Telecommunicator certification, which is the minimum requirement for every individual working in the Center. They also provide the required certification for individuals that work as, Communication Training Officers and Center Supervisors
Abbeville County 911 hosted a Communications Center Supervisor course through APCO. Sharmel Miller and Dockery Smith represented our Agency.
